Jerry Whitaker, CIC, CRIS
Senior Agency Partner, Acrisure
With over 25 years of commercial and employee benefit insurance experience, Jerry brings strategic risk management that focuses on the true costs of risk, then attacks the cost drivers within the insurance program and uses risk management to mitigate risk for his clients. His expertise is on the effects of wellness on workers’ compensation, disability, and employee benefits. Jerry graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 1984 with a BS in Business Marketing and a Minor in Communication and Economics. He earned the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1995 and the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) in 2006, and is a member of the Risk Insurance Management Association (RIMS).
Personal & Commercial Insurance
Jeff joined Whitaker-LaChance in 2001 as a Commercial Account Executive. Jeff has over 28 years of experience in commercial and personal insurance. Jeff works with the National Program for HOODZ and DUCTZ Franchises and the National Water Dealer & Bottled Water Dealer Program. He also works with small to medium commercial accounts. Jeff focuses on each client’s needs and designs an insurance program to meet those specific needs. He also excels in client communication, with clients having access to him when needed. Jeff earned his BBA at Western Michigan University in 1984. He is an avid competitive Retriever Club member and his dogs have won many awards.
Charlotte Coffman, CISR
Charlotte joined Whitaker-LaChance in 2004 as the receptionist. She quickly learned the insurance business, and moved to Commercial Service Representative in 2006, and then became office manager in 2007. Charlotte oversees all agency operations including making sure all insurance certificates are done accurately for our commercial clients. Her expertise is in human resource management and proof reading. Charlotte went back to college later in life and earned her BBA from Western Michigan University in 2003. She earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) in 2006. Charlotte loves spending time with her grandchildren, listening to music, and going to the movies.
Kim Mulder, CISR
Commercial Insurance Manager
Kim joined Whitaker-LaChance in 1990 as a receptionist. She quickly learned the commercial insurance business and moved to Commercial Service Representative in 1992. Her expertise is in commercial coverage and commercial claim management. Kim oversees all aspects of the commercial insurance department, including client service, claims, and marketing of new commercial accounts. Kim earned her Associates Degree in Tourism and Travel from Davenport University in 1990. She earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) in 1999. Kim takes pride in getting to know her customers and understanding their service needs.

Aaron joined Whitaker-LaChance in 2014 as a Personal Insurance Customer Service Representative. He brought with him extensive customer service experience from working in a retail professional camera store as well as a computer electronics store in Chicago. Aaron is in Sales for both Commercial and Personal Lines, and assists in the Commercial Lines department. His expertise is in working with our clients to make sure their insurance program takes care of them through all the changes in life. Aaron is a graduate of Kalamazoo Home School Association and attended Columbia College in Chicago, where he studied Graphic Art Design. He is an avid photographer and enjoys fishing.

Eric joined Whitaker-LaChance in 2016 as a Brand Marketing and Development Intern, and is a licensed property and casualty producer. He graduated in 2017 from Western Michigan University in their nationally ranked Sales and Business Marketing program. Eric manages all personal insurance placement, marketing, account service, and claim management. He is a driven individual who is passionate about meeting the needs of others by going beyond their expectations. During his free time, Eric enjoys golfing, being active, attending sporting events, camping, and indulging in new restaurants.

Rod joined Whitaker-LaChance in 2017 as an Employee Benefits Broker. An insurance professional since 1980, Rod prides himself on his ability to assist clients in finding the best solution for their needs. In his current role, he assists employers with discovering the most effective benefits package for their employees. Rod earned a BA in History from Calvin University in 1976.
PEO/HR Outsourcing/Personal & Commercial Insurance
Terry is an HR Outsourcing Executive specializing in Professional Employer Organizations (PEO’s), payroll and employee benefits for Acrisure. Acrisure is the tenth largest insurance brokerage company in the world and that gives our clients a vast amount of resources and opportunities. Terry specializes in evaluating what the employer’s needs are as it relates to having employees and the lifecycle of employment. With over 19 years of successfully providing customized solutions for small to mid-sized employers, Terry is a firm believer in giving the customer the best possible experience. Terry earned a sales and marketing degree from Davenport University. In his spare time, Terry enjoys golfing and boating.

Chelsea joined Whitaker-LaChance in 2020 as a Group Benefits Manager. With experience spanning individual to large group markets, she has a well-rounded understanding of how clients’ needs fit into each space. As a member of the benefits team, she feels confident in finding individualized solutions for each group. Chelsea enjoys connecting with employers and building trust through consistent service. Chelsea attended Calvin College, graduating in 2008 with a degree in communications.
